Basketball Game Preview: Palo Verde Titans vs. Yuma Catholic Shamrocks

Having just played yesterday, the Palo Verde Titans will get right back to it and host the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Palo Verde not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 6th (when they won 105-31). They blew past The Gregory School 76-46. With the Titans ahead 40-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Yuma Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest Christian on Wednesday, taking the game 64-55. The Shamrocks haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Yuma Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Palo Verde, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Palo Verde couldn't quite finish off Yuma Catholic in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 47-44. Thankfully for the Titans, Lucky Patane (who shot 50% from the field en route to 22 points and seven boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
