Doral Academy extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-3. They walked away with a 37-27 victory over the Spanish River Sharks. The Firebirds' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Spanish River, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 14.5 points allowed.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacorrion McCrary, who rushed for 91 yards and one score.

Coming up, Doral Academy will welcome Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Spanish River, they will venture away from home to square off against Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
