The Weir Red Riders's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cameron and snuck past 69-66. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Weir had a senior duo take command as Malachi Stromile went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 7 assists and Colin Cross scored 24 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stromile has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashawd Smith, who scored three points.
Weir's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Cameron, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
Weir will head out on the road to take on Brooke at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Weir is facing Brooke at the right time seeing as Brooke is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Cameron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
