Basketball Recap: Thrive Charter Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Thrive Charter needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Adris Oppong-Kyekyekwe. Thrive Charter walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Princeton Tigers on Sunday for which the team can thank Oppong-Kyekyekwe, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Oppong-Kyekyekwe is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Clover Spaulding, who posted two points and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game.

Thrive Charter's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thrive Charter will host Agnes Irwin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Princeton, they will be playing at home against Hamilton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
