Volleyball Recap: West Point Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Point was the 3-0 winner over Marana when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

West Point took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-20.

Marana can attribute much of their success to Sophia Maytorena, who had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Maytorena has posted over her last six matchups.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Marana, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Coming up, West Point will challenge Apollo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marana, they will square off against Rincon/University at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
