Abbigail Seders made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Seders was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Jackson got a big performance out of Emma Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Morgan Christopher was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ellet only posted a batting average of .240.
Meanwhile, Strongsville came up short against Rocky River on Friday and fell 8-4.
Strongsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Polo, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Polo has brought in this season.
Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 15-5-1. As for Strongsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Strongsville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jackson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355.
