Flag Football Recap: Arete Prep Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Arete Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 15-14 photo finish over the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes. The victory was familiar territory for the CHARGERS, who have now won three games in a row.

Arete Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Molly McClelland led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Arete Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.

Arete Prep has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on the 21st. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 31-3 win against River Valley on the 16th.
