Football Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

River Valley's last matchup with Oakmont could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Falcons had to suffer through a 40-12 loss at the hands of the Vikings. The Falcons lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-49 score last time.

River Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Walker, who threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes, and Anthony Zablotsky, who picked up 47 receiving yards and one score.

David Wilson was a one-man wrecking crew For Oakmont. as he rushed for 183 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Wilson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ocean Mu?oz, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one score.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oakmont, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

River Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 33-14 loss against Yuba City on the 19th. As for Oakmont, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-21 win against Colfax on the 19th.
