Preview: Thurston Colts vs. Dallas Dragons
After two games on the road, Thurston is heading back home. They will take on The Dallas Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, everything went Thurston's way against Churchill as Thurston made off with a 48-28 victory.
It was another big night for Noah Blair, who threw for 385 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Blair is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Bonar, who picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dallas fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their match on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-8 win over Crescent Valley.
Zayvian Webster was his usual excellent self, rushing for 250 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Webster is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Mosley, who threw for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes.
Thurston's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Dallas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Thurston beat Dallas 27-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Does Thurston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dallas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
