Softball Recap: Southwest Christian Beats Holy Family Catholic for Their Third Straight Victory

Southwest Christian barely beat Holy Family Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stars put the hurt on the Fire with a sharp 10-2 win on Thursday. Considering the Stars have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Southwest Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Holy Family Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Southwest Christian will head out to square off against Chanhassen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holy Family Catholic, they will welcome Mound-Westonka at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
