Softball Recap: Jordan Drops Season-High Score on American Leadership Academy

Jordan scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the American Leadership Academy Eagles by a score of 18-17. Even if the Beetdiggers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Olivia Judd and Kate Judd did some serious damage despite the final result: Olivia scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Kate scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. What's more, Kate posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taylor Allen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Even though they lost, Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Jordan's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for American Leadership Academy, they moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Jordan will welcome Snow Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jordan's pitchers better be ready for this one: Snow Canyon has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for American Leadership Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Ben Lomond at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
