Volleyball Recap: Dixie Comes Up Short

Dixie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Hills Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-16, 25-15.

Desert Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Schudde led the charge by getting 16 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Schudde has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of James Candland, who had 15 assists and three aces.

Dixie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Desert Hills, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dixie will square off against rival Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Desert Hills is set to face off against their familiar foe Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
