Basketball Recap: Penn Treaty Comes Up Short

Penn Treaty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Prep Charter Huskies, falling 82-62. The Wovles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Penn Treaty lost, don't look at Heavon Washington. Despite the final result, he posted 35 points. That was a full 56.5% of Penn Treaty's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Tyler Williamson-Brown was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Penn Treaty's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Prep Charter, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-7.

Penn Treaty will challenge Nueva Esperanza at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prep Charter, they will face off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
