Iowa entered their tilt with St. Joseph's Academy on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Redstickers  an   11-0 shutout. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redstickers, too.
Iowa got a great performance from  Emily Fink as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Fink has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Gracie Mills and  Morgan Henry did most of the damage at the plate:  Mills  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Henry  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allie Darbonne, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Iowa  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in six consecutive  matchups.
Iowa's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record  this season.
 Iowa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  12-4  defeat against Sam Houston on the 7th. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  15-0  victory against Woodlawn-B.R. on the 7th.
