Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Camryn Vaughn and Javian Wilson Leads West Lauderdale over Northeast Lauderdale

West Lauderdale won the last time they faced Northeast Lauderdale and Travion Mosley did his part to make sure it happened again. The Knights blew past the Trojans 35-13 on Friday with plenty of help from Mosley, who rushed for 191 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.

West Lauderdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Camryn Vaughn and Javian Wilson. Wilson is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Northeast Lauderdale still got an impressive performance from Jourdin Williams, who picked up 67 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The win got West Lauderdale back to even at 4-4. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, West Lauderdale will take on Choctaw Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeast Lauderdale, they will face off against Leake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gators will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
