Basketball Game Preview: Overland Trailblazers vs. Arapahoe Warriors

Overland is 0-10 against Arapahoe since January of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Overland Trailblazers will be playing at home against the Arapahoe Warriors at 5:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Overland came up short against Cherry Creek and fell 71-59. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arapahoe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They secured a 46-40 W over Mullen on Saturday.

Overland better keep an eye on Gianna Smith. She was instrumental in Arapahoe's win, going 7 of 17 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Ava Budler was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

Arapahoe's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Overland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Overland ended up a good deal behind Arapahoe in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 62-46. Thankfully for Overland, Liz Gentry (who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
