Baseball Recap: Pearl City Comes Up Short

Pearl City fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Roosevelt on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rough Riders by a score of 3-2. That makes it the first time this season the Chargers have let down their home crowd.

Jodi Takara was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Pearl City's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-2. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Pearl City nor Roosevelt have any future games scheduled.
