Baseball Game Preview: Hillside Comets vs. Linden Tigers

The Hillside Comets will head out to challenge the Linden Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Hillside fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Rahway on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-4.

Meanwhile, Linden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to Union.

Linden saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Obed Rosario, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Rosario has hit this season.

Hillside's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Linden, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Hillside came out on top in a nail-biter against Linden in their previous meeting last Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
