If State College was riding high  fresh off their  63-41 takedown of Altoona last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The State College Little Lions fell  65-53 to the Harrisburg Cougars on Friday. The Little Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 When it comes to explaining why State College lost, don't look at  Charlie Yartz. Despite the final result, he  posted 13  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Reed Melvin, who  earned 13 points.
Having lost for the first time  this season, State College  fell to 3-1. As for Harrisburg, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. State College will take on Central Dauphin East in a holiday battle at  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. State College is facing Central Dauphin East at the right time seeing as Central Dauphin East is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. Harrisburg and Cumberland Valley will compete for holiday cheer  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Cumberland Valley knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Harrisburg likes a good challenge.
