Volleyball Recap: Middle Creek Finds Home Court Redemption Against Chapel Hill + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Middle Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Chapel Hill Tigers on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.

Middle Creek had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Middle Creek found their leader in sophomore Cameron Gerber, who had 23 digs and four assists. Amelia Hofmann also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

The win snapped Middle Creek's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Middle Creek will challenge Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chapel Hill, they will square off against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
