Soccer Game Preview: Jarrell vs. Austin Achieve

Jarrell hasn't had much luck against Austin Achieve recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jarrell Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Austin Achieve Polar Bears at 7:00 p.m.

Jarrell is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Friday, they were much more limited against Burnet on Tuesday. They lost 5-1 to the Bulldogs. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Cougars struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, Austin Achieve entered their tilt with Florence on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Buffaloes onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. That six goal margin sets a new team best for the Polar Bears this season.

Jarrell now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Austin Achieve, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Jarrell suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Austin Achieve when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Jarrell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
