After losing to Minneapolis South the last time they met, North Community decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The North Community Polars took down the Minneapolis South Tigers 67-53 on Wednesday. Given the Polars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Tigers are ranked 271st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Community is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.6 points over those games. As for Minneapolis South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Looking ahead, North Community will face off against Esko at 5:30 p.m. on February 14th. As for Minneapolis South, they will head out on the road to square off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
