Volleyball Recap: Grossmont Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grossmont lost against Valhalla back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Foothillers fell just short of the Norsemen by a score of 3-2.

Grossmont took Valhalla into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 17-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Alexis Holman paced Grossmont's offense, picking up 17 kills. Holman got some help from Jacqueline Villalobos and her 20 assists. Sofia Reid controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Grossmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valhalla, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grossmont will face off against Foothills Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valhalla, they will square off against Patrick Henry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
