Football Game Preview: Tomahawk Hatchets vs. Medford Raiders

The Tomahawk Hatchets are taking a road trip to challenge the Medford Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tomahawk's defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so Medford's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Tomahawk is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Mosinee on Friday. The Hatchets fell 21-14 to the Indians. The loss was the Hatchets' first of the season.

Although Tomahawk took the loss, they still got scores from Jett Reilly and Max Larson.

Meanwhile, Medford managed to keep up with Wausau East until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Raiders came up short against the Lumberjacks, falling 31-8. The Raiders were down 28-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tomahawk, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Tomahawk was taken down by Medford 38-7 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Hatchets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
