Recap: Fairborn Skyhawks vs. Monroe Hornets
The Fairborn Skyhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Monroe by a score of 70-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Fairborn to victory were Taiyou Williams and William Perry. Williams scored 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Perry scored 21 points along with five assists. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jadon Larson, who scored ten points.
The victory got Fairborn back to even at 4-4. As for Monroe, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairborn will take on Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Troy is ranked 487th, while Fairborn is ranked 486th). As for Monroe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ross at 7:15 p.m.
