Basketball Recap: Mellen's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Mercer last Tuesday, Mellen came back down to earth. The Mellen Granite Diggers took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Three Lakes Bluejays on Thursday. The game marked the Granite Diggers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Mellen's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Three Lakes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Mellen has already played their next contest (against Solon Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Three Lakes is taking a road trip to challenge Elcho at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Three Lakes is facing Elcho at the right time seeing as Elcho is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
