Volleyball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Comes Up Short

ITW David Speer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mansueto Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, ITW David Speer Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-17.

ITW David Speer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mansueto, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. ITW David Speer Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe UIC College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mansueto will square off against rival Noble Street College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
