Baseball Game Preview: Columbus North Bull Dogs vs. Andrean Fighting 59ers

The Columbus North Bull Dogs will head out to take on the Andrean Fighting 59ers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Columbus North has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Andrean will come in with six straight victories.

On Tuesday, Columbus North came up short against Batesville and fell 9-5.

Columbus North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Kintner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI was Kintner's first of the season. Jack Whaley was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, while Andrean put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Kankakee Valley. The Fighting 59ers were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Kougars. Considering the Fighting 59ers have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Columbus North now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Andrean, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
