Basketball Game Preview: Chadwick Dolphins vs. Mary Star of the Sea Stars

The Chadwick Dolphins will head out on the road to square off against the Mary Star of the Sea Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chadwick has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Chadwick not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 26th (when they won 77-25). Everything went their way against California School for the Deaf-Riverside as they made off with a 75-49 win. The Dolphins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mary Star of the Sea's strategy against Port of Los Angeles last Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Stars blew the Polar Bears out of the water with an 80-31 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-14.

Chadwick has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points over those games. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Chadwick came up short against Mary Star of the Sea when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-49. Can the Dolphins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
