Volleyball Recap: Clear Springs Takes Down Summer Creek in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Clear Springs rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Summer Creek Bulldogs 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caylee Young paced Clear Springs' offense, picking up 15 kills. Young got some help from Mady Powell and her 24 assists. Young was also a major player on defense: she and Olivia Barnett shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Clear Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-10 record this season. As for Summer Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-16.

As of now, neither Clear Springs nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
