Preview: Riverside Rangers vs. Fabens Wildcats
Riverside has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Fabens Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will be strutting in after a win while Fabens will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Anthony scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Riverside still came out on top. Riverside took their game against Anthony 63-56.
Among those leading the charge was Richard Arellano, who scored 23 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Marcus Jauregui was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Fabens' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 50-34 to San Elizario.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Fabens, they bumped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road.
Riverside beat Fabens 54-43 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does Fabens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
