Basketball Recap: Callisburg Takes a Loss

Callisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 43-29 to the Whitesboro Bearcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-31 back in December of 2024.

Callisburg's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Whitesboro, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15.

Callisburg will head out to face off against Valley View at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Callisburg is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Whitesboro, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whitesboro Bearcats take on the Ponder Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Ponder will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Whitesboro surely won't give up without a fight.
