Holy Cross entered their tilt with Newington on Wednesday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-44 W against the Newington Nor'easters. The 45-point effort marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Newington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Juliana Flores, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Kendall Miller, who posted nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Holy Cross' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Newington, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
