Soccer Game Preview: Becton vs. McNair Academic

The Becton Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the McNair Academic Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. McNair Academic took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Becton, who comes in off a win.

While Becton's victory against Dumont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats skirted past the Huskies 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Becton.

Meanwhile, McNair Academic fell victim to Kearny and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Kardinals, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for McNair Academic in their meetings with Kearny: they've now lost four in a row.

Becton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for McNair Academic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Becton came out on top in a nail-biter against McNair Academic when the teams last played back in September of 2022, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
