Football Recap: Clifton Central Comets vs. Knoxville Blue Bullets
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clifton Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 24-6 victory over the Knoxville Blue Bullets. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Blue Bullets are ranked 327th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brady Shule was his usual excellent self, throwing for 363 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Those 363 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Shule's aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Andrew Rohlwing.
The win (which was Clifton Central's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points over those games. As for Knoxville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
