Softball Recap: Orthopaedic Victorious

Orthopaedic won the last time they faced Roybal and things went their way on Monday too. The Orthopaedic Vipers came out on top against the Roybal Titans by a score of 9-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vipers.

The team relied heavily on Melanie Garcia, who scored two runs and stole Six bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Natalie Garcia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Orthopaedic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Orthopaedic back to even at 3-3. As for Roybal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Orthopaedic will square off against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Orthopaedic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Roybal, they will take on Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
