Austin Carlisle's Big Game Leads Ridge Point over Fort Bend Dulles

Starting off the list is Ridge Point's Austin Carlisle, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Carlisle threw for 125 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 69 yards.

Fort Bend Dulles had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Carlisle it was a similar story. When Carlisle last faced the Vikings back in September of 2023, he threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes.

Underclassman Tyson Craft came into Thursday's game looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. He did his part (and then some), rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.

Fort Bend Elkins now has a winning record of 4-3. They and Fort Bend Dulles are set to duel on Friday.

While Will Herrmann delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Fort Bend Austin. Herrmann was dynamite, forcing two fumbles and making nine total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Fort Bend Austin now has a losing record at 3-4. Herrmann and Fort Bend Austin will face off against Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Romaire Smith Delivers Best Performance of Season

Ridge Point was led to victory by Romaire Smith, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Smith picked up two sacks and made four total tackles (3.5 for loss).
