Soccer Recap: Southampton Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Southampton and Lunenburg Central squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Southampton had to settle for second. They lost 4-1 to the Chargers. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Southampton couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Laurence Wallace, who's now up to 34 this season.

Southampton's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3. As for Lunenburg Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4-1.

Southampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lunenburg Central, they will head out to take on Bruton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lunenburg Central's defense better be ready for this one: Bruton have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
