Softball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

If Wellborn was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Talladega last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Wellborn's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Jacksonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Wellborn is taking a road trip to face off against Weaver at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacksonville, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m.
