Football Game Recap: Dierks vs. Mount Ida

Mount Ida simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Dierks 43-6. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Mount Ida, who can brag about six blowout wins.

Mount Ida's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 43 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Dierks couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 43-0 heading into the break. Mount Ida were outscored in the second half, but Dierks' efforts were ultimately no more than a drop in the ocean. The match brought Mount Ida to 7-1 and dropped Dierks to a mirror-image 1-7.

It's more conference action for Mount Ida and Dierks in their upcoming matches. Next week Mount Ida will take on Gurdon at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. Dierks will take on Spring Hill at home at 7:00 PM.
