5A Region I District 3 recap December 3, 2013

Martin fell to DeSoto 56-34 last week, the largest margin of any game. Eric Walker was a bright spot for the Warriors, as he threw for 157 yards, ran for 32 yards and caught 1 pass for 37 yards in the defeat.

Martin led 5A Region I District 3 in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Martin.

Bob Wager's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Nic Smith chipped in 55 yards. Jess Trussell helped Martin's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 30 yards.

Krystian Levy was the best wideout in the league this week as the Warriors fell to the Eagles. Levy tallied 4 receptions for 99 yards. Trussell helped Martin's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 30 yards.

On the heels of Walker and Smith, Martin has had great success on offense. Walker leads the league in passing with 2,057 yards, while Smith has rushed for 1,439 yards this season. Arlington's Mason Shaw leads the league in receiving yards with 616 on 48 catches.

Raymond Sheard has rushed for 951 yards on 147 carries so far this year.

The Warriors led the league in points allowed with 56.
