Basketball Recap: Windward Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Windward won the last time they faced Viewpoint and things went their way on Saturday too. The Windward Wildcats walked away with a 61-48 victory over the Viewpoint Patriots. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Patriots are ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Windward pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Viewpoint, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

When Windward and Viewpoint next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Windward will square off against Brentwood School and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Viewpoint will try to stop Campbell Hall's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
