Basketball Recap: J.Z. George Jaguars vs. Kosciusko Whippets
J.Z. George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 81-31 loss at the hands of the Kosciusko Whippets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 62-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Kosciusko got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaybre Pierce out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Pierce also racked up seven offensive rebounds, the most he's had since back in November of 2023. Ryan Tillman was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 17 points plus seven rebounds and five steals.
J.Z. George's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kosciusko, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
