Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Takes Down Rampart in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Chaparral had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rampart Rams on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Wolverines: when they faced off against the Rams two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Loss or not, Rampart got some senior leadership from Gabriella Melecio and Ellery Anderson. Melecio had 18 digs, while Anderson had 14 digs. Melecio has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 15 times she's played.

Chaparral has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. As for Rampart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-4.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Rock Canyon on the 15th. Rampart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
