Soccer Recap: Watauga Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Watauga was not quite Hibriten's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Watauga in their meetings with Hibriten: they've now lost three in a row.

Watauga's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Hibriten, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watauga will face off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hibriten, they will challenge Alexander Central at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Alexander Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Hibriten surely won't give up without a fight.
