Football Game Preview: Holdenville Wolverines vs. Tishomingo Indians + How To Watch

The Holdenville Wolverines will challenge the Tishomingo Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Tishomingo will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Holdenville extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Wolverines breezed past Coalgate to the tune of 62-0. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Wildcats are ranked 228th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Abe Gomez, who rushed for 117 yards and three scores on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Yates, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Holdenville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 526 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Tishomingo made easy work of Comanche on Friday and carried off a 46-24 win.

Holdenville's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Tishomingo, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
