Soccer Recap: Burges Comes Up Short

Burges managed to keep up with Chapin until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Burges Mustangs came up short against the Chapin Huskies, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Burges' goal came courtesy of Alexis Figueroa, who's now up to seven this season.

Burges' defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Chapin, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burges will host Canutillo at 10:30 a.m. on February 22nd. As for Chapin, they will welcome El Paso at 7:30 p.m. on February 19th. Chapin is on a four-game streak of home wins, El Paso a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
