Bellevue and West Branch are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Comets will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bears. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Bellevue was beaten by Maquoketa 76-47. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Branch had to suffer through a 55-25 loss at the hands of Tipton. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Tigers are ranked 47th).

Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for West Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Everything went Bellevue's way against West Branch in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as Bellevue made off with a 53-28 win. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
