Preview: Glen Rose Tigers vs. Seminole Indians
The Glen Rose Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seminole Indians at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Glen Rose comes in on seven and Seminole on five.
With a playoff game on the line, Glen Rose rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-13 win over the Rangers on the road. The result was nothing new for Glen Rose, who have now won six matches by 31 points or more so far this season.
Canyon Evans continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 298 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also punching in a rushing scores. Evans has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Brayden Brewton was another key contributor, rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Meanwhile, even though Hirschi scored an imposing 36 points on Friday, Seminole still came out on top. Seminole pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over Hirschi.
Seminole found their leader in underclassman Caton Cramer, who rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Holmstrom, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Glen Rose's victory pushed their record up to 8-4, while Perryton's bumped their own up to the opposite: 4-8.
