Alleghany entered their tilt with Staunton on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Storm 3-0.

While Alleghany won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-12, 26-24.

AVA LEWIS paced Alleghany's offense, picking up 14 kills. LEWIS got some help from KENDRA DRESSLER and her 39 assists. DRESSLER was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Alleghany's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Staunton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
